Freedom of speech in Thailand

Nowadays, the word “media” can be translated into many meanings. It doesn't only mean T.V., radio, or journalist. It also means how people try to connect their knowledges and news to others. Media is very important and useful and every countries in the world are trying to improve their medias. Every countries want to be powerful so that their social lives and economics can be improved as their medias. So does our country, Thailand, is developing its media but it seems to be hard because the social life here is very competitive and people think that money is more important so money is the important role that shut down business medias. This may occurred in the future, and it can affect all of us. So, it is time to think hard whether Thailand has given enough freedom to medias or not.

First of all, I think freedom of speech in Thailand is not enough. Thai people has taught by a culture, you have to respect an elder If they tell you something you cannot dispute them because you think,the elder always right when they say anything and not polite If you dispute when they say but sometime it is wrong, you will dispute them if you see something wrong you should think when they say if not you will scare when you think ,so when you work in a mass communication and you cannot think it's mean you don't have something new to show your ability, you will have only worn out thing in your communication when the communication doesn't have any improvement ,the communication will lag behind so that is a reason why the communication in Thailand is not enough because people scare to think.

Second, Politicians in Thai land have a lot of power,money and connection. The politicians are in high position in Thai goverment they use their position to do illegal actions because no one under them will check what they are doing. This people in lower position are afraid of being hurt by the politicians. If politicians are caught doing illegal actions they pay the media to change the story that will be reported because the politicians can control the media this affect our freedom of speech, the real event do not get reported.

Third, The medai in Thai culture does not except sexual content in their programs the medai censor sex seens and naked images. They think this things are not suitable for Thai people but in truth they don't have the right to decide for the people , sex and nudity are a normal part of life in today's world.

when you control see and hear that affect their freedom of speech. Thai people don't have much freedom of speech because of the medai, Thai people should force the medai to report the truth and not cersor their programs.

On sunday 20

I woke up at 9 o'clock and took a bath I sware myself I would read books every sunday at 10.00 after I began to read a books I read a Law book the book about criminal law I did not understand some topic of criminal law then I tried to read again and again but It was not ok I was still confused at last I walked to down stair of my house and asked my father in the kitchen room when I asked my father about my problem he said " I did not no too because I forgot for a long time" I felt bad then I asked him how could I did for my problem then my father said I would call to my friend he was a judge so he would answer your problem then he called to his friend and let me talked with his friend by his black mobile phone after I gave the black mobile phone to my father with a good felt because the judge could answered my problem then I went back to up stair and drank some water then I went into my room and continue to read. when I finished I watched a movie on a television name of the movie was Blade 3 It was about hunter of vampires and vampires the vampires wantted to kill all of hunter then the vampires took the first' vampires in the world he was born more than 2,000 years ago however the vampires were killed by the hunter. After I went to down stair and had lunch with my family then my father said we would go to dinner at Sea food restaurant in the eveing. Then my mother asked me did you like Law I thought for a minute and said it was ok because I did not no what do I like to studied my mother said I knew when finished I went to The Mall to studied English my teacher was canadian he was friendy and polite he taught me everythings I want this day he taught about hoe to used A And The it looked like easy but hard wahe finished I came home. My mother and I waited my father at home, he was coming when he arrived we got in his car and went to Sea Food restaueant we very enjoy eating it was delicious.

On New Year' Day

In the morning I woke up at 9 O'clock then I took a shower thne I had lunch with my family at the Cha-Ba restaurant on Ramkumhang 39 there was a lot of family in Cha-Ba. My mother and me order some foods to a shop assistant after we waited for a long time to ate maybe thirty minute I was in a bad mood and my mother too because we were very hungry. My father asked me how did you feel when you studied at ABAC I liked to study here I had good friends and good teacher I was very happy at ABAC, I answer him. When my father asksed me about studying at ABAC I told him it was good for me I thought I could study here for four years but some subject it was hard such as Sci-Man because I never learned about science when I was in secondary school I learned only match so I confuse when I learn Sci-man but I would try to finished this subject After I talked with my father we went home except me I went to J J Market with my friends I bought a T-Shirt and a canvas shoes after I went home by bus but my friends were still here because I wanted to play a computer game at my home. When I arrived I went up to my room on the second floor then I turned my computer and televition on I used an internet and watched in the same time but I used an Internet more than watching T.V . After I slept for 3 hours I woke again at 6 p.m. then I took a shower and went to a party at my friend house by my car. At the party there was a lot of foods and alcohol with juice I went straight to my old friend dining-table I did not see him for a long time since I was fifteen years he went out from the school and went to studied at England for 4 years then he came back to Thailand now he was studing at Thamasart University. When I finished I drank some alcohol with my friends we were very happy so much after some of my friends and me went into the living room for slept because we were drunk we stayed for one hour then we went out from this room and started drinking again then I came home and slept.
